Landscape photography in the Yorkshire Dales
I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember and have been photographing the Yorkshire Dales most of my life. I guess it could be argued that its an easy subject to photograph as it is naturally stunning, which carries some weight.
I studied photography & film as part of a design degree. After graduating I moved towards web & graphic design as a career but continued to hone my photography skills. I later went on to teach photography as a module in further education.
I’m old school & love messing about with aperture & ISO settings as opposed to just setting the camera to automatic.
Whilst after 30 years I still don’t consider myself to be a professional photographer, I do however quite often get involved in photography as part of a web or design project.
Amazingly (to me), my photographs have been used on over 100 websites & print based projects, from regional magazines such as Yorkshire Life to videography projects for the BBC & Adidas, posters, CD (album) sleeves, mountain bike websites & more.
