Web design is my main source of income, but there is a lot more to me than that. Today’s job market demands are for the multi skilled. I’m a qualified electrician & probably because of a background in music production, I have always had a natural interest in all things technical with particular regards to audio & video signals & systems.
Prior to doing a design degree as a mature student I had a history of technical & creative roles in sound, video & broadcast technology.
Historically I have been involved in music recording studios, radio stations & film/TV tech support including a spell working for channel 5 TV as a broadcast engineer.
I have designed & installed radio stations for colleges & community radio stations. I also partnered in a commercial music recording studio for a number of years so I’ve got superb mixing ears & a good knowledge of processes such as EQ & compression. (I’m also calm enough to deal with highly strung guitarists/actors).
A list of the technical & creative stuff I can do is never going to be a fascinating read, but its a question I get asked on a fairly regular basis & if your gonna hire me I guess its a reasonable ask… so here goes:
I’m happy to “muck in” on technical projects. I also make a great cup of coffee & have recently updated to a top of the range espresso / cappuccino model. I can be hired as a freelance sound/video technician on a day rate, or depending on my workload on a short term contract, please contact me 07985 433 090 for availability
